About Us
ETC started in 2002, when I decided to make the jump into the boutique consulting world. After having worked for a great consulting firm in London, it had always been my dream to start something of my own.
The idea was never to build a huge consulting company, but rather to bring together a network of like-minded professionals: experienced people who are really good at what they do and dedicated to delivering results.
At the time, JD Edwards was my speciality, so naturally that is where ETC began. The offshore boom followed soon afterwards and we quickly expanded the network in India, which became an important centre of gravity for the business. This was always combined with experienced professionals in Europe and the US.
Much of my own career has been spent in the pharmaceutical industry, and this is where many of our assignments and long-standing relationships have developed. As a result, we have built considerable experience in pharmaceutical and other regulated environments, although our expertise is certainly not limited to this industry.
My own engagements have often centred around acquisitions, divestments and IT transitions – and this is where my real passion lies. Helping a business transition from one organisation to another, or become completely independent, is an intense but extremely rewarding process. Over the years, I have been involved in many such transitions, from the initial planning and separation through to establishing and running the new IT organisation.
Taking responsibility for IT organisations following these transitions also broadened our expertise considerably. ERP and business applications remain an important part of our DNA, but today our network covers the wider IT landscape, including infrastructure, cloud, cybersecurity, IT operations and business transformation.
This breadth of experience means ETC can support both individual specialist requirements and much larger transition or transformation programmes. We can provide individual consultants, build dedicated teams or take responsibility for specific areas of delivery.
